What a fun day creating Coptic Stitch Journals with some good friends!

We found it to be pretty challenging and a good brain exercise!! So impressive that this stitch was first implemented over 1800 years ago! No premade paper or packaged waxed thread for them! I believe we are all addicted to this process and looking forward to making more beautiful hand-bound books!

*Coptic binding or Coptic sewing comprises methods of bookbinding employed by early Christians in Egypt, the Copts, and used from as early as the 2nd century AD to the 11th century. The term is also used to describe modern bindings sewn in the same style.
